Trivia[]
- Since their last appearances in Thomas & Friends, Annie and Clarabel have gained notable changes in their designs:
- Their names have been replaced with ornate patterns. Clarabel's retains Annie's pattern, but has additional crests on either side.
- While the exact reason for this change is unknown, it is most likely to keep their English names from appearing in dubs for those languages where one or both coaches are known by different names.
- The two now have iris colors: Annie's irises are orange, whilst Clarabel's are grey.
- The two now have eyebrows.
- Clarabel has gained freckles.
- Both coaches have fewer but larger windows.
- Additionally, Annie has gained a guard's compartment.
- Both coaches no longer have visible doors. They now have retractable ramps to allow passengers to disembark when not at a station platform.
- Their axleboxes have been removed.
- The pair only have six roof vents each.
- They gain the ability to move by themselves very short distances, though this is very inconsistent throughout the series.
- They gain Yorkshire accents in the UK dub from An UnbeLEAFable Day onwards, and they lost their British accents in the US dub.
- They are now used as regular passenger coaches rather than being solely owned by Thomas.
- Despite this though, the Meet the Engines book still states that they belong to Thomas.
- Their names have been replaced with ornate patterns. Clarabel's retains Annie's pattern, but has additional crests on either side.
- Unlike in the original series, Annie and Clarabel have separate voice actors in the US dub instead of a shared one. However, in the Japanese dub of the original series, they also had individual voice actors.
- Annie and Clarabel are the only female characters created by Wilbert Awdry to appear in All Engines Go.
