The fourth and final season of Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go was greenlit by Mattel in August 2022 and premiered on Channel 5's Milkshake! block in the United Kingdom on January 27, 2025, on Treehouse TV in Canada on April 6, 2025 and on Netflix in the United States on April 10, 2025.

Like Season 3, the entirety of the fourth season was also uploaded on the official Thomas & Friends YouTube channel, with the first half being uploaded starting April 13, 2025, and the second being uploaded at a later date.

This season was released in honor of the 80th Anniversary of The Railway Series.

Production

Due to the massive success of the Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go reboot, Mattel announced during their August 2022 press conference that the show had officially been renewed for two additional seasons and would carry the franchise through 2025.

Unlike the previous two seasons, Seasons 3 and 4 only feature 26 11-minute episodes as opposed to 52, much like many seasons of the original television series.

With a new Thomas & Friends project in the works for 2026, Season 4 serves as the final season of All Engines Go.

Description

Thomas, Percy, Diesel, Kana, Nia and the rest of the Sodor loc-amigos are back on track for a new season of delights, delays and the occasional duckling dilemma as they travel the Island of Sodor. These fast friends show they are up to the task for the weird work they love, supporting each other through the stinkiest muck, up the steepest hill and when they've made mistakes. The vehicles roll up to new challenges including a multi-episode construction project, more than a few McColl mix-ups and a dazzlingly daring delivery by Bruno. No rail is too rocky and no job is too impossible for the Number One Engine and team, especially when they work and sing together![1]

With the efforts of Sir Topham Hatt, Salty's sea shanties and even a Kazoo Orchestra, there is something for everyone! As the engines go about setting up stages and running activities for the special event, they chatter excitedly about a secret surprise being held at Cronk's Crossing - what could it be? After Thomas delivers the stage lights to the festival, Nia reveals the surprise to him: the Calliope! They return to Vicarstown Square just in time for Sir Topham Hatt's opera rehearsal. However, when a singer lets out a high-pitched note that destroys the lights of Sodor, everything turns into chaos! To make matters worse, Nia loses the Calliope and goes on a frantic search for it, only to find it submerged in water. With the festival in jeopardy, Nia enlists Thomas' help to repair the lights across the island and find the perfect sound to save Sodor's Super-Secret Surprise! The vehicles can only make Sodor ring in time and in perfect harmony by working together.
