Trivia
- Originally, Craig Carlisle was going to be the solo writer for the movie. However, when Bruno's role in the story became larger, Daniel Share-Strom was brought in to help with his scenes.
- Prior to its release, this movie's title was listed as Mystery at Lookout Mountain, Mystery of Lookout Mountain, and The Mystery of Magic Mountain. It is unknown whether these were working/alternative titles, or simply misspellings.
- This movie was originally scheduled to be released in select US theaters on March 4 and 5, 2023, hosted by Fathom Events. However, these events were canceled for unknown reasons.
- The US DVD disc was mastered on February 1, 2023.
- This movie marks the first of several things:
- Darcy's first appearance in All Engines Go.
- Emily's first speaking role in a movie since Big World! Big Adventures!, as well as her first speaking role in an All Engines Go special.
- Whiff's first appearance in a movie since Journey Beyond Sodor, as well as his first speaking role in a movie since Misty Island Rescue.
- The first movie to not introduce any new characters since Calling All Engines. Although Darcy is semi-treated as one.
- The first movie in which Annie and Clarabel do not appear since Day of the Diesels.
- The first movie in the Thomas & Friends franchise in which Henry and James do not make any physical appearances, although James is mentioned.
- The first movie in the franchise's history to not premiere theatrically in the UK.
- The first movie to have Will Bhaneja as Diesel in the US dub.
- The first movie to have Tom Dussek as Sir Topham Hatt in the UK dub, not counting the re-dubbed version of Race for the Sodor Cup.
- This movie marks the last of a few things:
- The last movie to have Meesha Contreras as Thomas in the US dub and the last movie to feature Aaron Barashi as Thomas and Henri Charles as Percy in the UK dub.
- The last movie to have Britt Allcroft's name on the opening title.
- The last movie to air on Cartoonito in the US.
- The last movie to use the Mattel Television/Creations logo which debuted in the 2017 movie, Journey Beyond Sodor.
- Dana Puddicombe and Jessica Carroll join the voice cast, not counting the re-dubbed version of the UK dub of Race for the Sodor Cup for the latter person.
- Due to Meesha Contreras undergoing puberty while recording his lines in the production phase, Thomas' voice is slightly pitched up in some scenes.
- According to Daniel Share-Strom, Darcy was originally meant to be shrouded in dust like the first image for the entire chase sequence, giving it a little more suspense until she got washed off by the waterfall, which was the reason why the creators hid the secret entrance to the mines behind the waterfall. But the producers assumed it was to keep it from being too scary for the younger audience. [1]
- In the second season episode, Kana Recharges, the flag that represents the Biggest Adventure Club is present onwards. Chronologically speaking, the movie takes place sometime in between Blackout! and former said episode.
- Carly and Sandy's line, "Have no fear! Sandy and Carly can make your problems disappear!" is reused from the first season episode, Thomas Blasts Off.
- To promote the movie's US premiere, the official YouTube Channel released a short video series called Sodor Mystery.
- The film was released in April in the US to tie in with autism awareness month, due to it marking Bruno's first appearance in a movie.[2]
- This movie was awarded in 2024 for the Canadian Screen Awards for Best Original Music.[3]

- At the end after the Biggest Adventure Club part ways, Percy whistles, but no steam comes out of it.
